Elizabeth's room, a Shabby Chic bower of dreams. I made the curtains. Sheila found the little dresser at Marshall's. Sheila made the chandelier out of beads. The "white and chippy" bed came from Art An'Tiques in Exeter, and the bedspread is an embroidered handkerchief. I made the candle and candlestick out of a silvertone bead and a birthday cake candle.
Elizabeth has her violin lesson in the Music Room with Uncle Albert. The clock is a working clock I snagged from my late father's collection. The chairs are craft-shop chairs unified by gold paint. Dave got me the Christmas tree for, well, Christmas. The piano was a cop from Earth and Tree's annual spring sale. The walls are red metallic wrapping paper, and I made the windows by spray-painting craft store window frames gold and lining them with metallic blue paper so it looks like the night sky. George is hanging out at the music lesson because he's hiding from his father.
All together now! At left, the gang gathers at Cole Manor for a holiday feast. Squire Albert Livingston has been designated to carve the turkey (chocolate again), with George's sword. Note the anticipation on everyone's faces!
At left, Charity and George enjoy sweets in the tea room. The wrapped bonbons are scrapbooking trim, and the croquemboche was a Christmas ornament. I upholstered the chairs and settee, and made the green velvet curtains. At right, they play in George's room with his collection of toy soldiers.
A larger view of the tea room.
When George has a bad dream, Elizabeth allows him to sleep on her floor.
Fergus McAngus and Albert in the Coles' kitchen. I made the fireplace out of beach stones and a black wooden box. The butter churn is a butter mold. The pie safe came from Earth and Tree.

Mrs. Cole's room is an elegant haven in red, gold and black velvet. I refinished the craft store dresser, made her bed and the quilt, the curtains and the window looking out at the night sky.
